I lowered myself and went to their horrible website to get a quote on why they picket and protest military funerals and the below is their perverted rationale;

So in their sick and distorted minds they are saying all military personnel are gay. This would be like me saying all Baptist are as warped and insane as the few member's of this so called "Baptist" church.
What led me to post this on my blog, I in no way want to give these wackos any exposure, is that recently on facebook I came across the following;
Matthew Snyder fought and died in Iraq for this country and we are so proud of him. But, at Matt's funeral Westboro protested against Matt and harrassed Matt's family. The kicker is that the court found in favor of the loons and now the Snyder family owes these insane people in excess of $16,000. All under the 'Freedom of Speech' Act. Here is a synopsis of what happened - The "church" was sued by Snyder. He won millions. Instead of paying, the church appealled and won the appeal, the new judge overturned the original ruling. Then, the church sued again demanding that Snyder pay the court costs, legal fees etc. incurred in the original trial, and somehow that judge granted that, as well. I believe that it is now going to the Supreme Court for a final ruling. Rumor has it that Bill O'Reilly has said he will pay this bill, I think any money that goes to this so called church should reimburse every city who has had to provide them with police protection when they do their protesting.
There is another side to these whackos and their protests, there is a group of bikers, the Patriot Guard. It is a large volunteer group who places themselves and their bikes betweek the protesters and the family. I have seen them in action once and on this occassion they had their bikes running to drowned out the voices of the zealots. It was a very impressive and moving sight to behold and it took everything I have in my body to keep from picking up a brick and hurling it at the loud mouthed woman spewing swill directed toward this family who was burying their son.
It is scary that these people exist on any level, they are allowed to procreate, they are allowed to do what they do and spread hatred in the name of God. They are the scum of the earth and the dog poop on the bottom of my shoe. I am sure there is a nice warm place waiting for each of them in the afterlife.
